It isnt actually called Game Maker.

If anyone knows this program its called The Games Factory 2.

I'm using it to make Dark Reality (Game im making at the moment), but when it is finished (which could be months from now) will i be able to upload it on here.

That doesnt violate anything right?

Uploading games made from use of a differant games design program?

I don't use Game Maker.

Instead i use TGF2.

But i'm pretty good with graphics.

I've seen games, and even made one myself, with other programs such as "Adventure Maker". I think it's okay on this site.

When the time comes, I'll be sleeping.

Please read this topic. Especially the section stating ...

Quote- The site is not intended for uploading any files that aren’t Game Maker games.

I thought that was fairly self explanatory.

If your game was not made with Game Maker, it does not belong on this site.

Game Maker is a specific program you can download from this site. The Games Factory 2 is not Game Maker.

I didn't like any of those other programs, found them to be difficult to use, and not that flexible. As soon as I saw game maker, i was like flipping out.

FYI: I'm up to late making games, is that good for your health?

Why don't you think Sig Maker was made with GM?

Quoteyou don't know how.

Use rashacker (a program which it cannot hack into GM becuase the resorces are protected but the file structure is not but you can't modified it too) and tell that why

I know how.

First off I know that a game with 26KB anit a gamemaker.
Second the game is odd and look at the property menu.
Third look into the game itself and it will find the answer

^I could barely understand your reasons.

Game Maker games can have commercial quality and be virtually indistinguishable from any other 2D commercial game.

Also this is off topic.

Don't upload games not made with GM please.
That's not what the site was made for.

Also before you post a question such as this one read the rules.
They were made to be read not to be avoided.

A game is made with Game Maker if it works with Instant Play. Only GM Games work with Instant Play. /argument

No alot of people get mad when its not a game, but a utility.

Sorry, do you even understand how instant play works, and lets take it deeper, how Game Maker works??? I doubt it.

Game Maker produces *.exe Which is an executable. I can do the same with a C compiler, with Visual Basic. You get the point, a variety of programs.

Instant Play is actually a ActiveX Component that downloads the game you wish to play (It calls it buffering) into a temporary file, which it then runs. Hence, instant play. It would work with any executable file, not neccearily one made with Game Maker, even if it is designed to work with it. Which is why games made with other makers can make it onto this site

Somewhat wrong. Instant Play separates the EXE into two components. The runner program (which executes the code) and the encrypted section of GMK data (which contains your game).

An EXE that isn't a valid Game Maker game isn't split into these components and the uploaded file isn't given a Play Now button.

You can see the various files in your My Documents \ YoYoGames directory.
