can i make a rpg?

hey guys i was wondering if i could make a final fantasy styled game (old versions) you know view from a side angle..... ff1 ff2 etc

also what about a strets of rage kinda game player moves back n forth and up and down screen beating up bad guys etc...

im new to game making so this is just a question....

Yeah, alot is possible with GameMaker. If you need any help the YYG members and staff are here.

so am i right in saying i can use an external paint program (paint.net)

to make sprites and tiles?

That's right; as long as you save it to a compatible file, there shouldn't be problems using an external program.

Yes, you can. No, you won't. Especially not if you're new to Game Maker. Experienced people rarely make it through an RPG.

unless, it's a small but simple rpg, that isn't so complex but still fun and addicting.

Looking for Programmers, and Artists in PC art, You can be payed $400,000 we currently need 3 new programmers and artists.
