Lately I seen Newbie remarks and severe political topics lately.

I am really sick of hearing it. Why Happen a few mouths ago. But not everybody got more prickly and posting political or something very negative on this forums.

This forums suck because of it. Why happen a few mouths that everybody is lighthearted. But now this site is like Oh about the government or people acting negative or how the world going to end. I am really sick of it.

If this keep happening. This site will have one less loyal member.

I agree im tired of all the whining about politics government and morals.i find myself using these forums less and less cause of what i call the death of entertaining posts.
We get it people... overthrow the government and cry about everyones lack of morals.
Enough already!

Unfortunately, this forum is for general talk, which includes conspiracies. Yoyogames should DEFINATELY add a GameMaker forum, which would be used for the following:

requesting resources
asking for help in GameMaker
gathering a team


This would be the best addition to these forums in the history of YYG.

Stop posting negative. Please. I migrated to this forum for a reason. It seemed cool. But if you (please excuse my language) <removed> don't stop, many good, old day members will leave.

But yes the political topics (particularly The Barrack Obama virus) I found very distasteful

Political topics are very distasteful. Especially ones that scrutinize the candidates (read DeathandGrim2's post above me)

I rarely go into topics at all anymore. I thought it was just me, but apparently I'm not the only one.

This forum has been going down for months (Lack of interesting topics, etc.)

Yeah... also the YYG server went down for a few hours just the other day and there are fewer categories for games O.o

Been there done that. The Golden Age of YYF died last year. You guys would pretty much all be considered noobs (no offense) besides the older members who joined around summer of '07

This is exactly why John (GmMkr) and I made the Central Games Forums. (in my sig)

Not to advertise or anything. Ever since YYGF starting falling, there needed to be somewhere else to go. And then he and I made CGF, which is slowly gaining members.

and yah! That was the golden age, forum had a lot of better people on it

I wonder why there is only a link to the forums at the top of the YYG page instead of the forums AND GMC?

I betcha back in the "Golden Ages" there was posts like this and so on and so on you prob thought it was "Golden Age cause it was you 1st time joining YYG

I actually wasn't around until the end of the Golden Age :P

The Golden Age was right when the site started, all the old members (no offense again) I liked a lot better than most of you. I mean, most of you guys are all right, not mean or anything, nice and all that, but the old vets were awesome. Nothing is really wrong with you guys, its just that I liked the older members better. Please try to understand :)

Oh, and there weren't really any posts like this in the Golden Age. Not until the SC incident, that pretty much lead to the fall of YYF.

Well This site is.... well after overbound and linkslayer everybody tensed up. Sammalamma True But I never experience the Golden age.

I hope this site rebounds.

Isnt this a General Discussion so why is it a problem about posting politics and stuff sure this site is about games but This section is general discussion so doesnt that mean you can talk about anything correct me if im wrong.

You can't talk about everything, but you are allowed a broad range of topics. "Flame-wars" are bad for a site, and political/racial/religious topics are like putting a can of gasoline next to a fire, it might not blow up, but it usually does.

The quality of topics has decreased, and more new members have joined (a main reason for the topics being worse) but these members will soon learn how to keep up a quality forum, and things will peak in quality before plummeting once again.
