So one US doller is 2 England dollers?

^ Pretty much, although they're pounds here, not dollars.

Oh. Cause in Mexico a doller equals 2 pesos are whatever.

Anyway, that has nothing to do with the Competion.

Who's all joining it?

I'm gonna give Elemence AuX a complete winter overhaul, change some stuff and the sprites etc. I might also add Cutting Run! as a minigame, as it is wintery.

I think you have start a brand new game, not just edit one of your old ones.

NAL, be sure to read the competition rules again. You can only submit games you've been working on if they haven't been uploaded to YoYoGames.

Nuts. I'll have to winterise my WIP then.

Exactly how wintery does it have to be?

But it is the same game. Just with a different look to it...
EDIT: Nevermind then...

Yeah... oh well, effort now required. Like I asked, how wintery does it need to be? Can there just be a few snowflakes here or there or does the entire game have to be a blizzard-fest?

Dunno. It has to be a Winter based game...how winter, I don't know. But, I'd put some snow in it, rather than some snowflakes. :)

Why are the prizes in US$ when the competition deadline is in GMT+0 (England and some other non-US countries)?

Nov 9, 2007 12:24am

Nailog Nailog 2023 posts

Because 474.4 pounds sounds like a stupid first prize? Because 681.2 euros is just as bad?

wink

That and GMT is a universal time.

Argument. Noun.
A discussion between Sythe2o0 and a second party where the second party is clearly incorrect.

Wait, if I won one of the cash prizes (yeah right) would I receive it in dollars, the equivalent in pounds, or an evil letter saying "Sorry, we can't send you the money! Have a GameBoy Colour instead."?

Oh, and the rules state that everything must be your own. Does this mean I have to compose my own music/sounds, or get someone to make them specifically? Or can I use freeware sounds/music MIDIs?

everything you own means you have to own the rights to use for: so unless somebody tells you explicitily you may use his/her sprites I think it's against the rules to use them... though I wonder about all these "GPL" licenced stuff.
