It is ridiculous. All the games on the front page are rated 4 stars. And a lot of bad games are rated 3 stars... You might as well have a rating system of 0, 1, and 2 stars, cause thats all that needed really haha.

The reason for this, is the 6 star rating system. Its a weird number for rating things, and no websites use it. I think they don't because this happens. 4 is a higher value, but not too high. which is why I think people usually choose 5 or 4 for good games, even though 4/6 is like saying you got a 7/10, and 5/6 like 8/10. I also think that not many people give a game 6 stars.

My suggestion, it to change the numbers of it. Have a five star rating system, but also the possibility of rating 0. (a no-star option on the left of the stars). I think this will make the ratings more diverse, and less confusing.

The thing i've come to learn is most people will only rate 1 star or 6 stars, nearly never in the middle. My advice - make a game that'll knock their socks off *yeah easier said than done i know* lol

eh, i guess thats true. i guess no one rates it 5 stars then. because either they like it, or they kinda do for a 4, and if they dont a 1.

still, i dont like the 6 star system, and i believe that no other sites have it because it doesnt work right :P

I also agree that this is a stupid rating system that gives a bad look the the game creator.
1. 1 star raters that go through the most popular games and rate them al 1. Make a play timer system that counts the amount of time they play for, if any.
2. Games that are rated 4.05 and lower don't get played anymore. Once your game is moved out of the first 2 pages of popular games it hardly ever gets played again.
3. They should have a "random game" tab that brings up 24 random games to play.
4. In the Highest Rated Game Creator section, all the people that have created 1 crap game and rated it 6 once are in thatt tab.
5. They should definately make it out of 10. This would mean the player would have more choice.

just because a game is popular it is not always c**p and the game creator may just have actually been skilled and maybe your jealous and the one who r8s them 1 star and wants a new challenge, secondly it's not always easy to tell if they are rated all by the same person unless you check the name and age and description of each and every user 2 sign up on your database so u can go searching through lines of data and garbage, and work out if there are any duplicate accounts which may mean the creator which boosted up their game's rating. learn 2 use a tutorial and learn something new and be original and with your sprites u don't always have 2 make a exact copy of a tutorial and go oh, I made a game well u can be inventive and make a good game and even get some good ratings if the engine works and it has some good story line and music and sound effects and game play and graphics your on the road to success it's all about which games u make next and y and how and whether they r quality in atleast a few of the main aspects, and the #1 aspect originality.

WOAH! I didn't say the popular games are crap, I said that there are crap games that are rated 6/6 1ce. Nal is the most Rated creator and he makes good games. I have nothing against you mrsmes, do u have somthing against me? I am not jealous of other peoples games. I do not edit tutorials and call them my games, I make my games by scratch.
*Most of the popular games are not crap they are made by very skilled developers and deserve thier rating. That's what I complaining about. You upload a good game, it gets a couple of good ratings and comments, then suddenly the rating count gets larger than the play count(1 star raters) and your game hardly gets looked at again*

sorry, I just didn't quite get it like th@ v first time I guess I needed u to explain to me in th@! post, secondly I h@ve nothing against u, it's just u made it sound as though u were jealous and so I predicted u could have been a 1 star r8r it was a wild guess but if u had explained it as clearly, as u did in v post just above this 1 I would have understood it better, but no need 2 swear and go off, b******g(used stars to replace letters of the swear word which we all know, k staff n mods and it's not binging which I doubt is even a swear word, not th@ I know any1 who binges other than homer simpson, from the simpsons any way back on topic), ya, da, ya, da yeah k th@s out of the way and of course I have quick reflexes, duh I am a fast typer I didn't lie about th@, unlike how AKH didn't believe me about that but that's old news now and it's all over and I can't blame him, he gets up @ a different time and lives in a different time zone, and u said it yourself I have quick response, but even still quick typing skills, and reflexes also, yes & one of 3rd fastest in phys ed year 12 MSHS(Melville Senior High School), some times I think some of the year 12's who r faster than me r probably on drugs, cause the only thing I do is raw pure, exercise and run at top speed(u know v measurement of how fast a object is travelling) and burn off access fat, to make energy and get a quick jolt of a small burst of speed(the kind used in game maker which is basicly the same type used to determine the measurement of how fast a object is travelling per second or hour or metre, or kilometre, not that a human could physically or possibly travel a kilometre a hour or a second) any way, that's enough about my social life, etc u may have already guessed by now from reading this post I live in perth well I have a escuse for practically needing to be a tycoon(or make big money) because in perth u need 2 practically be a tycoon just to keep your house and sometimes buy a house and the petrol prices and prices for houses around perth only lift in one direction, up I repeat they only lift in one direction up & it's like they never lower once they go up th@'s all they r going 2 do & they r not going 2 drop.

I reserve 1's for games that are completely unplayable and/or are simply tutorial edits, games that show hardly any effort was put into them. What's left are stars 2-6 (5 star rating system). 6's are for those games I find myself addicted to that are very enjoyable and polished.

probably, the creator should set the alloted time to play the game before he/she rates it.

I've actually learned that there is one person loves the game and rates it six stars then it comes crashing down. You can't really trust six star games, it's very weird to say it but 4 star games is the highest I've ever seen in great game (like crime life, sanctuary was up for a long time, but the highest it was for a long period was 4) .
