making a game like simcity well sort of. i need help with a building menu
displayed on the side of the screen enabling the player to click on the desired
building and a "watermark" image of the structure following the mouse so that it
may be placed. BTW i do not have gm pro i have gm7 lite and im not what u call a
pro but im not completely "noob" either.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
how would i go about drawing or creating the menu so it follows your view?

Just to clear this up....controversial topics are against the rules,
controversial being loosely defined as something that may would likely cause
someone to become offended (though I believe there is a bit more to it than
that--can't be sure, though). I lament the fact that such topics are forbidden,
and I am puzzled that there is still no rule stipulating what we can and
cannot say concerning debates...
Interestingly enough, a cause for lower intelligence in poorer, impoverished
countries is the lack of food. In fact, food is the root problem if most issues
in the world.
What is wrong with forum games? Nothing. The human mind needs outlets
like forum games and the like. It is a psychological necessity. We need to
laugh as well as cry.
However, I agree that an [i]excess[/i[ of forum games can get annoying, and it
has a bit. I also do agree with a previous statement concerning why people like
forum games so much--because people do not like to tlak about the heavy stuff
after a day full of it. However, I can't blame anyone for that. It's a natural
way to let out stress and relax yourself....so it's natural to see a lot pop up
sometimes.
Personally, I tire of the ever pessimistic view of humanity many people seem to
hold. It's natural in this time, especially with the economy as it is and what
I believe to be a slew of previous mistakes from the U.S. Government impacting
everyone's lives in what I see as negative ways. I do think that pessimism is,
in the end, a defeatist method of thought. The human mind will consider things
to be as you perceive them to be: Hopeless. Thus, your urge to do things and
drive and will go down...making things worse, and seeming to prove the point to
you. It's a self-perpetuating cycle, and an annoying one.
Are these the kinds of thigns this topic was supposed to turn to or...?

Ok I don't understand this much. With normal blending, white is like completely
transparent, gray adds some darkness, and black makes it completely black. How
would I set it up so that black would be completely transparent, gray makes it
lighter, and white makes it completely white? If you want to explain the rest of
the blending options too, that'd be awesome...

I'd like to say this
I think some of the quarreling that went on earlier really only shows the
importance of women in our society.
I mean we as men grade ourselves with each other based on our performance with
women.
And women I believe do a little of the same.
^unfortunately it's turned into that. The O.S. is not a measuring device btw.
And honestly the jokes here offend me (even thought I'm completely male)
"Why?" you might ask. Because, imagine if someone had aids and you made aids
jokes. BUT you didn't know... Imagine if someone was out of sight and you were
making gay jokes, BUT you didn't know. Jewish/Asian/black/white/arabian/rainbow
jokes, but you can't see them around so you make them anyway.
what does that do to our society? It corrodes it. it eats it from the inside
out. LITERALLY... let me explain
did you know your brain is like a machine, and that you can wire your brain into
differnet mind sets?
Prime example: Depression. Someone who is depressed stays depressed and gets
more depressed because of their depression exists...
LIKEWISE these jokes can gear our brain into these mindsets ESPECIALLY since we
are letting our mental guard down by brushing it off as a JOKE in the FIRST
place.

My opinion on the matter...
The entire thing I mentioned about mammals females is quite significant.
---assuming there is not god and we all evolved from cells---
because if we haven't evolved out of that state, the we have all the animal
kingdom justification to treat woman like cows.
---assuming the inverse---
well god made female and male not quite so much equal.
I MEAN who's saying their equal? why should they be? They're just stupid
collectible women... yeah they might not be as dumb and insignificant as animals
but they are still less than men (according to the above to situations)
WE SAY women have equal rights, but do we honestly want that?

HONESTLY I think not... there I said it.
And honestly I don't think it's really all to much concerned with the situations
described above. It's really prolly me and my personal mental issues (prolly is
trust me on this)
But regarding those issues, in YHWH's eyes (christian god acc.2 psalms 83:18)
then women aren't POINT BLANK! and if you disagree U're not christian. THEY ARE
NOT EQUAL! POINT BLANK, because everything a woman can do a man can, but it's
not true for the inverse. Does that make women low lives? NO it just suggest
they are humble and submissive to the head of the house hold.
If there is no YHWH then well by all natural means women still aren't totally.
I say that because men lead the society and other male mammals do their society.
That basically means that males have a greater influence about how things are
going down. and yeah we have our Operah and our Beyonce (mainly Operah) but
compare that to men....now s*** brix. EXACTLY. We can evolve out of that cycle,
but that will only happen if it's more suitable for the human species to do so.
Honestly I like women where they are in society (minus the rap culture)... I
don't want them to be submissive little **** *****s but I don't want to have to
split the household either (again that's probably a personal issue.) and yes a
little submissiveness would be appeal to me. (that's prolly my domination issues
coming in) (I don't know maybe it's just a turn on that i have inherited from
asian culture... prolly is)
and whether you like it or not, That's my stance, and I'm a f***ed up jack***
who deserves to burn in **** for ever and ever. Again I'll say that it's
probably a personal pref for me just to have a mate that is that way... and now
that I'm thinking about it, I don't mind if a woman share's the same office as
me, it's just I want my wife to be a certain way... yep that's what it is...
SO I guess they can have Equal rights, chances are slim for that happening soon
but I'll do my best to make the world a better place.

This is a rant.
I got a 3.5 on the GMIndie show for my game PP. The reason? Youhave 2 gun, you
can't beat levels, and all you do is kill cannibals. Because of his language
difficulties he was unable to read the helpfile that opens at start up, and
unable to learn about achievemeta, how you complete missions, the oter mode, te
online highscores, custom dialogues and most importantly, YOU HAVE 3 guns that
you unlock. He failed because you need grenades to beat the 3rd, 4t and 5th
level.

A woman couldn't hurt you as much as a guy would hurt a woman. I think men can
damage a woman a lot more emotionally but girls think slapping a guy in the face
is the ultimate beat down. it's completely different, I'm not being sexist but
you can't compare the two, I'm not talking about an abuse relationship, that's
completely different and it's both just as bad as there's always an emotional
abuse element too. As a standard girl slaps guy, guy slaps girl, they're not
comparable.
