I just spent a day in hot debate over human rights in an international
negotiations project :P
Though, the one point concerning women's rights--their right to equal
education--had to be dropped, as nations thought it infringed far too much on
cultural norms of countries.
Anyway. The whole point of women's rights activists is that women should get
equal opportunities as men, period.

Yes, it is incredibly frustrating...and in the U.S. (as that's where most people
here live) it's probably strongest in the South, coming form the Southern noble
and chivalric ideal in the times of slavery and plantations. Our society also
seems to refuse to reject the idea of women as objects. One way to look at that
is how much profit a company can get form displaying just that image--look at
all those commercials using women to draw guys in...it's perpetuated by our
acceptance of it as normal.

I agree "Global Warming" may just be a natural cycle, and if it is caused by us
it is a very small problem compared to how fast we are using resources and
energy.

The biggest thing you can do to help reduce the rapid consumption of resources
is to tell the public how they can help and point out the problems we currently
have. This online community should help to get a message out to many people, and
hopefully many of those people will do their best to help

may tend to be best at, like things involving manual labor--and that is just
fact, and can't be changed. But equality and respect in other

I do disagree with the way women are rapped about, as was mentioned earlier I
mean, yeah, to a certain extent it can just be entertaining, and isn't meant o
be harmful at all---but often it goes too far, or does actually have harmful
intent.
